UNHCR's high-profile supporters share a singular determination to help the world's displaced and to help raise world awareness about the suffering and needs of the vulnerable.

The world famous Swedish-American soprano Barbara Hendricks brings enormous experience into this work, as UNHCR's only Honorary Goodwill Ambassador for Life. Ms Hendricks has worked with UNHCR since 1987.

American actress Angelina Jolie has visited more than 20 countries since she was appointed Goodwill Ambassador in 2001, and has a truly global reach.

Other UNHCR Goodwill Ambassadors include Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, Turkish singer Muazzez Ersoy, Spanish TV presenter Jesus Vazquez, Argentinian soap star Osvaldo Laport and French singer-songwriter Julien Clerc.
